More About The Gantry
Located on 300 Morse Street NE, The Gantry immerses residents in an energetic and artful neighborhood in the heart of one of the nation's fastest-growing cities. Transformed by renewed demand for city living in the early 2000s, Washington D.C. is a dynamic metropolis and coveted destination for many young professionals, with a consistent growth in job opportunities. KETTLER worked with the District of Columbia to set the design vision for the 1.4MM SF mixed-used community comprising of The Gantry, Carr Properties' recently delivered Signal House creative office property, and three future buildings; including a further 159-unit apartment development from Carmel Partners and KETTLER. Balanced between old and new, the Union Market District is a unique destination within D.C., home to entrepreneurs, chefs, artists, and visionaries.
Residents enjoy a thriving cultural scene. Located just three blocks from one of the district's most prominent landmarks, Union Market is a collection of over 40 local vendors creating the culinary epicenter of D.C. Surrounding the market is a myriad of additional restaurants, retail and residential spaces, bustling with youthful energy. The Union Market District is a highly walkable transit-oriented neighborhood, with the NoMa-Gallaudet Metro Station offering transportation to other areas of the city just three blocks away from The Gantry. New residents of The Gantry are provided a membership to Capital Bikeshare to offer easy access to the neighborhood amenities and reduce dependency on vehicles.
Residents and visitors to the new multi-use complex are greeted by a landmark sculpture, leading into a grand lobby featuring a monumental staircase. A clean, modern palette appears throughout the property's interior, with tasteful pops of eclectic elements. Enhanced by an abundance of natural light, the building establishes a vibrant and uplifting atmosphere that emulates that of the surrounding Union Market District.
This modern finish carries into each of The Gantry's 551 units. Starting in the kitchen, solid-stone countertops and full-height stone backsplashes are complemented by stainless-steel appliances and Italian cabinets. Residents also conveniently find a full-size, stackable washer and dryer in-unit. The Gantry appeals to a variety of residents, varying in household sizes.
The Gantry design fully expresses a vision for creating modern living space, incorporating an abundance of outdoor spaces and amenities to immerse residents in a vibrant community. The Gantry has an expansive rooftop deck with a pool, clubroom and garden, all of which give a spectacular view of the Union Market District and the city beyond, creating further opportunities for residents to immerse in outdoor spaces. The Gantry also offers a 14,300-square foot plaza, a private landscaped courtyard and a dog park.
Other amenities include two fitness centers, a yoga room, bike storage and repair, valet dry cleaning and a package concierge service, bringing ease and convenience to the busy day-to-day of the working resident.
